Car Icon Generator

Turn the car icon into a finished app icon or favicon: pick a background, a corner radius and a stroke weight, then download SVG, PNG or a full icon package.

Driving, a vehicle, or a ride. In delivery contexts it means the courier rather than the customer.

What the car icon means

Driving, a vehicle, or a ride. In delivery contexts it means the courier rather than the customer.

Travel icons are vehicle silhouettes, and vehicle silhouettes are the product of several distinct masses: a body, wheels, wings, a cab. At small sizes those masses merge and the vehicle becomes an unidentifiable lump. The ones that survive are the ones with a single dominant angular shape — a plane, for instance, reads well because the swept wing dominates, while a bicycle fails because it is two thin circles and a thin frame with almost no mass at all.

Where you will actually see it

  • ride-hailing and vehicle selection
  • parking and mobility apps
  • app icons for automotive products

Drawing the car at 16 pixels

The two wheels below the body fill in and the greenhouse silhouette flattens. Exaggerate the roofline slope.

Stroke weight is the control that matters most here. Lucide icons are drawn on a 24 × 24 grid with a 2px stroke, which means that when the icon is scaled down to 16px the stroke is effectively 1.33px — below one device pixel on a standard-density display. Raising the stroke to 2.5 or 3 before exporting keeps the shape solid; lowering it to 1.5 suits large app icons where a heavy stroke looks clumsy. The editor exposes this as a slider, so you can find the value that survives your smallest target size rather than guessing.

Using it in code

If you want the icon in a Vue project rather than as a downloaded asset, it is a named export of the lucide package:

import { Car } from 'lucide-vue-next'

<Car :size="24" :stroke-width="2" />

The download button above gives you something different: the icon composed onto a background with a corner radius, exported as a flat SVG path set. The exporter converts the icon out of its <foreignObject> wrapper first, because a foreign object taints an HTML canvas and would otherwise break PNG and ICO rasterisation.

Pair the car with a letter

An icon and a letter in the same mark is a common lockup — the letter carries the brand, the icon carries the category. The editor lets you position both independently on the same canvas.
