Make a letter icon set in Fjalla One and download it as SVG, PNG or a complete favicon package — the letters are vectorized, so nobody needs the font installed to see your mark.

A medium-contrast condensed display face with slightly flared stems and a single available weight. That makes it a natural fit for editorial and sports-adjacent marks.
Condensed faces solve the single most common problem in letter icons: fitting a wide capital into a square. An M, W or N in a normal-width face either crowds the container edges or has to be shrunk until it looks timid, whereas a condensed cut fits comfortably at full size. The cost is counter width. Narrowing a letter narrows the enclosed white space faster than it narrows the strokes, so condensed faces fill in sooner at small sizes — particularly in B, R, 8 and 9. Keep the weight moderate and verify at favicon size before committing.
Only one weight, so the only lever you have is size.
A favicon is rendered at 16 × 16 pixels. That is roughly the area of a single character of this paragraph, and it is where most typographic decisions stop mattering and start breaking. The reliable test is not to zoom out of a large preview — browsers resample that far more kindly than a real favicon pipeline does — but to export the actual favicon.ico and look at it in a browser tab.
The preview above is not text with a CSS font-family applied to it. The editor loads the Fjalla One TTF from Google Fonts, parses it with opentype.js, and converts the glyph into an SVG <path> at weight 400. Fjalla One ships as a single weight, so the weight control has no effect on it — adjust presence with optical size instead. Because the export contains outlines rather than text, the mark renders identically for every visitor whether or not they have the font, and it stays crisp at any size.
